Jazz is in constant bloom in Kraków, no matter if it’s spring, summer or even winter. The Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music has its share in this phenomenon – a diminished seventh chord here, a pentatonic scale over there, a little of minor blues, a pinch of Coltrane harmony…

The concert of the series Jazz at the Academy take place throughout the year to present the accomplishments of Academy’s students in this genre. Stay tuned!

The Academy of Music in Kraków invites music-lovers to concerts of its students – soloists, and orchestras (symphony, baroque, chamber, and brass), and also by its eminent lecturers.

The Academy of Music in Kraków is one of the oldest and most important centres for musical and artistic education in Poland. Its students – soloists, and symphony, baroque, chamber and brass orchestras, as well as eminent lecturers can be admired during the numerous concerts in the main seat of the Academy (ul. św. Tomasza 43) and in the Florianka Music Hall (ul. Basztowa 8): a grand concert hall with elegant, neoclassical decor.

The full spectrum of activity of the Kraków Academy of Music includes congresses, symposiums, and regular music festivals including the Days of Bach, Kraków Cello Spring, and the International Flute Competition.
