EtnoKraków/Crossroads is one of the biggest and most important festivals in Europe (23 editions without interruption: 1999-2021); has gathered over 400 bands from four continents – the representatives of the best and most interesting artists of the Polish and international ethno and world music scene.

During chamber concerts as well open-air concerts (held eg. at the Main Market Square, Powiśle and Wolnica Square) we’ve heard the best international and Polish ethno, world music, folk, ethnojazz and traditional music artists. An important element of the festival are music workshops, which are a unique opportunity for education in the musical cultures of the world, as well as the specially commissioned international artistic projects.

An important element of the festival are music workshops, which are a unique opportunity for education in the musical cultures of the world, as well as the specially commissioned international artistic projects. For the years has achieved a format that puts it among most important events of the Polish and international ethno and world music scene.

The programme accents of the EtnoKraków/Crossroads is the promotion of performers who cultivate the traditions of the oldest musical culture sources, as well as artists for whom inspiration by source music is a jumping-off point for their own cultural interpretation. A priority in the operations of the EtnoKraków/Crossroads festivals editions is work on behalf of endangered traditions and supporting initiatives that create an attitude of tolerance, integration, inter-cultural dialogue and understanding based on art.
