Divine Mercy

Thousands of pilgrims from Poland and all over the globe flock to Kraków for the main celebrations of the Divine Mercy on the first Sunday after Easter.

The annual indulgence at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy starts with a nighttime prayer vigil, proclaiming the message delivered by Jesus through St. Sister Faustina Kowalska.

The cult of the Divine Mercy has been flourishing since the beatification (1993) and canonisation (2000) of Sister Faustina, as well as thanks to the pilgrimages of Pope John Paul II to Kraków (he visited the sanctuary in 1997 and 2002), who entrusted the world to Divine Mercy.
