Simply May

25 April 2019

Three international festivals and a monumental exhibition at the National Museum dedicated to Andrzej Wajda comprise Cinematic Kraków: a marathon of events bringing together feature films, documentaries, short animations and superproductions with music live in concert keeping film lovers busy for over a month! And that’s not all: May is truly an action-packed month with the theatre and concert season in full bloom and the festival season going full steam ahead. It is also the finest time of the year for long walks, events in the great outdoors and admiring our city’s beautiful vistas.

Photographic Kraków: filled with photography, presenting a trail of exhibitions held as part of the Photomonth Festival and plenty more besides. Star-studded Kraków: resounding with concerts by musicians such as Jamiroquai, The Cinematic Orchestra and Elton John. Academic, philosophical and literary Kraków: bringing back the highly acclaimed and popular Copernicus Festival, exploring the subject of language and its importance in this era of verbal battles. And there’s also Museum Night, Synagogue Night, musical spring and Mendelssohn Days… Sun shines down on events for kids and families from Hello FMF (that’s right! it’s the special edition of Hello ICE Kraków!) to the Archaeological Picnic, on students celebrating their Juvenalia Festival, on the Kraków Book Fair and on the second-hand and antiquarian stalls on the Vistula Boulevards…

Let’s go!
