May – More Than Digital!

11 May 2020

Recent weeks have shown that Kraków’s culture won’t be supressed even by the current coronavirus pandemic. While it isn’t shying away from ongoing problems and fully embraces all limitations in place, it is moving most of its activities online, releasing previously recorded events and developing brand-new ways of engaging with the public.

This month, we once again bring you a fully virtual edition of “Karnet”. You will find out how Cracovian institutions are responding to the current challenges: from Kraków Film Festival’s maverick decision to move all events online, via a synthesis of special commemorative materials as applied by the Film Music Festival, to previews and prologues of events postponed to later dates. The Copernicus Festival, Photomonth in Kraków, theatre performances and cycles, countless concerts – traditional May events and day-to-day activities of all cultural institutions are marking their enduring presence and desire to reach all lovers of culture.

The May edition of “Karnet” is published in Polish – we are also presenting selected materials in English, since culture has no barriers even at a time of closed borders!
