To the Bone

He’s someone who can be described without adjectives – surely listing the bands or music genres he has worked with is impressive enough. To make things simple, let’s just mention Porcupine Tree, since it’s this group which earned him his popularity. However, Steven Wilson doesn’t chase fame, and the frameworks of music genres he works in act simply as an excuse to experiment. After thirty years of tinkering with prog rock, inspired by Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and late 1980s bands Talk Talk and Tears for Fears, the musician decided to take up pop. He revealed the results of his efforts in 2017 with his fifth solo album To the Bone. On 8 February at Studio, we will find out how the material sounds live. (Bartosz Suchecki, “Karnet”)
