Synergy means the interaction of many factors, producing something greater than just the sum of individual parts. It applies to many field, and in classical music it is perfectly illustrated by Theatrum Musicum – a collaboration of several Cracovian institutions presenting myriad summer music events in the city. This year’s festival, the fifth of its kind, opens on 4 June with Sinfonietta Cracovia's concert Viennese Artists with Sinfonietta, followed by the Summer Opera Festival in Kraków, Festival of Polish Music, Sinfonietta Festival and Barbican Festival, the cycles Wawel at Dusk and Music at the Royal Route, evenings with Capella Cracoviensis (coordinator of the project) at the Decjusz Villa and summer concerts at the Kraków Philharmonic. And there are more events across Małopolska: early music in Stary Sącz, organ concerts in Nowy Sącz, Kromer Fetival in Biecz and the Emanations Festival in Lusławice.
